Leggett & Platt’s Consumer Products Unit was formed in 1995 by combining the activities of two existing Leggett Divisions with a recent acquisition. Together the three entities formed Leggett’s Consumer Products Unit. They were the Fashion Bed Group, the Consumer Products Division, and Vantage Industries. The focus of the business Unit was clear: to serve the consumer through the retail community, with those products produced and/or distributed by Leggett, that are sold as packaged end-products directly to the retail community.

Today, Leggett & Platt’s Consumer Products Unit consists of three Divisions:

* The Coated Fabrics Division - Atlanta, GA
* The Adjustable Bed Division
* The Fashion Bed Group Division

Each Division operates independently, and each has its own management team. Each is responsible for developing, marketing and distributing its finished products to the consumer through the retail community.
